Michael “imluckbox” Addamo
Australia’s rising Poker star, Michael Addamo singlehandedly won two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets in the year 2018, and had caught the attention of the media since then. With more than US$6.1 million accumulative winnings and counting, Addamo is currently leading Australia’s Global Poker Index (GPI).
In 2019 however, Addamo broke the record by winning more than anyone has ever had in a single tournament of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). He did this by helping to create a $1,360,000 prize pool shared amongst the finalists.
Burns started off just like any other Poker player, playing Poker casually and going on tournaments occasionally. Compared to the active players, his accumulated earnings (US$3.4 million) in the past decade might not seem impressive, but his determination made him into the high roller he is today. Winning the Sydney Championships and the Western Classic Poker Championships in Perth in 2016 may be his career’s turning point.
Since then, Burns had went on countless Poker championships around the world, even bagging first place at the 2019 Crown Poker Championship earlier this year with a total winning of AU$103,455. With an accumulated winning of US$5.7 million and counting, Burns continues to make history in the world of Poker.
Wang started participating in tournaments around 2012 and has since racked up more than US$803K of accumulated earnings. One of Wang’s notable win is when he clinched first place with AU$132,497 in the recent APL Million 2019 earlier in March this year. Since then, he had participated in 5 more tournaments in the US, Australia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Despite ranking third at Australia’s GPI, Wang only started to actively participate in tournaments around the year 2016-2017. He has been steadily climbing up the GPI rankings since then, beating thousands of other professional Poker players in the list.
Although Poker is a less popular game when compared to other games like Blackjack, players who actually excel in Poker stand a really high chance in going pro in the industry. Despite that, it is still a very competitive game, and in order to stay on top, players often need to stay updated with the trends in the game and improving their gameplay from time to time.
